What does Prairie Equipment Company sell?
Prairie Equipment Company is a warehouse distributor of specialized equipment. Our primary focus is powering fleet vehicles: inverters, inverter/chargers, AGM and lithium deep cycle batteries, battery chargers, fuses, circuit breakers, battery isolators, battery cable, and vehicle mounted solar panels and charge controllers. We also supply Group 31 AGM batteries for traffic signal battery backup systems, replacement parts for compact hydraulic hammers, and hydrant flushing hose and fittings. Which brands do you carry?
Brands we carry include Victron Energy, DMX Power (Dimensions and Magnum), Ultimate Power, Blue Sea Systems, BEP and Marinco from Navico Group, MK Battery, Epoch Batteries and Progressive Dynamics. We carry a great deal more than is listed in the catalog. Call or email and we will price it.
What equipment powers a fleet or service truck?
A typical work truck runs from the alternator, through DC-DC charging to an auxiliary battery bank, protected by fuses, and out through an inverter for AC power at the outlet. Vehicle mounted solar keeps the batteries topped up while the engine is off. We carry each of those parts, and our Prairie Power Packages put them together as complete systems. Do you sell batteries for traffic signal backup systems?
Yes. Many traffic signal departments get their replacement Group 31 AGM batteries from us for their battery backup systems and pedestrian flashers. If you have spent batteries to be picked up, call us: we pick them up for free and offer competitive credit back to you.
Do you carry parts for compact hydraulic hammers?
Yes. We supply replacement moil points, chisels and tamping pads for many brands of compact hydraulic hammers, as well as tie rod assemblies, seal kits, bladders and nitrogen fill valve assemblies. Your shop foreman gives us a call and we do the digging.
How do I get a price or place an order?
The catalog shows prices where we have confirmed them. Add what you need to the cart and request a numbered quotation, which holds its prices until the date printed on it. Do you accept purchase orders and tax exempt orders?
Yes. If your purchase order carries its own terms, tell us before we ship and we will agree in writing which apply. For a tax exempt order, give us your exemption certificate details. We collect sales tax where we are registered to, which is currently Minnesota. Terms of sale →

What is your return policy?
If something arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 5 business days of delivery and we will replace or refund it. For anything else, call us before sending it back. Returns and refunds →
