Terms of sale
Last updated 30 September 2026.
These terms apply when you buy from us, whether you order against a quotation from this site, by phone, or on a purchase order. Placing an order means you accept them.
Who you are buying from
Prairie Equipment Company, LLC, in Victoria, Minnesota. (952) 949-2430, pec.sales@outlook.com.
Prices and quotations
- Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax. Freight is shown separately.
- A working total on this site is an estimate. A numbered quotation from us holds its prices until the date printed on it.
- Prices on the site can change without notice, but not on a quotation we have issued while it is still valid, or on an order already placed.
- If a price is shown wrongly because of an obvious error, we will contact you before shipping and you can cancel.
Trade pricing and promo codes
- Trade and account pricing is offered at our discretion, applies once we have approved it, and can be changed or withdrawn for future orders.
- A promo code applies only on the terms it was offered on, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Paying
- This site does not take payments. How an order is paid, and when, is set out on the quotation or invoice.
- Unless other terms have been agreed, an invoice is due on receipt.
- If you order on a purchase order that carries its own terms and they conflict with these, tell us before we ship. We will agree in writing which apply.
Sales tax
- We collect sales tax where we are registered to, which is currently Minnesota. If we do not charge it, your own state may expect you to pay use tax on the purchase yourself.
- If you claim a tax exemption, you confirm the certificate details you give us are true and current. If a claim turns out not to be valid, the tax is owed and we will ask you to pay it.
Delivery
- Freight is quoted with the order. Delivery times are estimates, and some items have a lead time, which is shown on the product page or the quotation where we know it.
- Please check the delivery when it arrives. Damage should be reported as set out in our returns and refunds policy.
Returns and refunds
See our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
Using the products safely
- Electrical and fleet power equipment. Batteries, inverters, chargers and transfer switches should be installed by a qualified person following the manufacturer's instructions and the codes that apply.
- Everyone using these products is responsible for doing so safely and in line with the rules that apply to their work.
Warranty
Products are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, where there is one, and we will help you make a claim under it. We do not add a warranty of our own. To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises about the products beyond what is written on this site and in the manufacturer's documentation.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or downtime. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for injury caused by negligence.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Quotations and orders from your account are treated as yours.
- We may close an account that is misused.
- How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
The website
Product photographs, drawings and specification sheets belong to us or to the manufacturers. Please do not copy them for other purposes without asking.
If these terms change
We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place an order are the ones that apply to it.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Carver County, Minnesota, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
