In-line MC4 fuse, 20 A (only with 3+ strings): In-line MC4 fuse, 20 amp $15.00 each

Only needed when 3 or more solar strings are wired in parallel: use one fuse on the positive lead of each string. With 1 or 2 strings, no fuse is needed. Choose a fuse rating no higher than the panel's maximum series fuse rating (on its label).

What it does

Rotary DC disconnect (isolator) switch for solar panels, in an IP66 waterproof, UV-resistant enclosure. 32 A, rated 12 to 1200 V DC, 2-pole. Two inputs and two outputs on MC4 leads through cable glands. Locks in the OFF position for safe service work. Mount between the solar array and the charge controller to cut PV power before working on the system. A disconnect switch, not a fuse: with 3 or more strings in parallel, add in-line MC4 fuses.
